
Ir. KURNIAWAN NIZAR, M.Si.
Born in Jakarta on April 29, 1966, Kurniawan Nizar began his service as a Civil Service Candidate (CPNS) on October 1, 1993, at the Ministry of Finance, marking the start of his long-standing career as a bureaucrat in the field of state financial management.
He earned his undergraduate degree from the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) and later obtained a Master’s degree in Development Economics from Gadjah Mada University (UGM), Yogyakarta. This strong academic foundation has reinforced his expertise in undertaking various strategic assignments in both taxation and state asset management.
Kurniawan’s career began within the Directorate General of State Assets Management (DJKN), where he served as Head of Bekasi State Asset Managament and Auction Services Office (KPKNL) and Head of Aceh Regional Office of State Aset Management. In 2019, he was appointed Director of Valuation at DJKN before returning to the Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) to lead West Kalimantan Regional Tax Office starting in 2022.
Since February 2024, Kurniawan has held the position of Head of West Java I Regional Tax Office, underscoring his significant role in leading strategic units tasked with optimizing state revenue.
For his dedication and contribution, he has been awarded the Satyalancana Karya Satya X, XX, and XXX Years Medals by the President of the Republic of Indonesia. He was also recognized as a talent management mentor by the Ministry of Finance in 2019 and has played a key role in establishing exemplary service offices and work units designated as Corruption-Free Zones (WBK).
With cross-unit experience at the echelon I level and proven leadership across various regions and organizational units, Ir. Kurniawan Nizar is widely regarded as a visionary civil servant with high integrity and a strong commitment to advancing bureaucratic reform in taxation and state financial management.
