
FARID BACHTIAR, M.Tax
Born in Malang on November 17, 1967, Farid Bachtiar began his career at the Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) as a Civil Service Candidate (CPNS) on October 1, 1988. He graduated from the Diploma III and IV Programs in Finance, majoring in Taxation, at the Indonesian State College of Accountancy (STAN), and later earned a Master of Taxation degree from the University of Denver, United States.
Throughout his career, Farid Bachtiar has held numerous strategic positions within DGT. He previously served as Head of Subdirectorate of Human Resource Management Development at Directorate of Internal Compliance and Apparatus Transformation, and later as Head of Jakarta Sawah Besar One Tax Office.
In 2016, he was appointed Head of Center for Taxation Data and Document Processing, followed by an assignment as Head of West Kalimantan Regional Tax Officein early 2019. His leadership journey continued as Head of Riau Regional Tax Office and later Head of East Jawa III Regional Tax Office, before being entrusted with his current position as Head of West Jakarta Regional Tax Office on February 16, 2024.
For his dedication and service, he has received several awards, including the Satyalancana Karya Satya XX and XXX Years from the President of the Republic of Indonesia, as well as recognition as a facilitator in the Coaching Workshop organized by the Ministry of Finance. With his strong technical expertise, leadership experience, and solid academic background, Farid Bachtiar is recognized as one of DGT’s senior officials who are highly competent and deeply committed to advancing Indonesia's tax reform agenda.
